NEW Writers’ Group Incorporated (NWG Inc) is a not for profit, incorporated association, run by volunteers. We publish writing and images in the annual print anthology ZineWest and online in our Pop-Up Zines and digital anthology Expression. At our monthly gatherings we offer reader-feedback workshops, writing pro jects and open mic.

The Parramatta Play Project is a collaborative, place-based playwriting project designed to invite artists to celebrate and reflect upon one of Australia's most historically significant and growing cities.
Developed in partnership with Baramadagal Knowledge Holders, local cultural organisations and heritage experts, The Parramatta Play Project centres Western Sydney artists and writers to create new work.
The Project includes the creation of a new full-length work by a group professional writers, free workshop programs for students, emerging/early career writers, and local community members, free public readings and conversations with the artists.

We increase the profile and networks for our community and increase the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of new and established Western Sydney writers as well as the increased diversity in form and content in Australian literature reflective of the diverse community of Greater Western Sydney.

The Writing and Society Research Centre (WSRC) is dedicated to examining the social and cultural power of literature, writing and storytelling. We are one of Australia’s leading tertiary centres for Literary Studies and Creative Writing, based at the Parramatta South campus of Western Sydney University (WSU) in the School of Humanities and Communication Arts.
